# Getting Started with GenLogs API

To start using the GenLogs API, follow these steps:

## 1. Get Your API Key and Credentials

Genlogs Customer success team members will set up your account and will share with you an API key and user/password credentials.

Once you get the API and credentials, you would be able to make an HTTP request to the Create Token endpoint, from which you will get a **token**.

When the token is generated, you can proceed to call carrier or shipper endpoints, sending both the API **key** and the API **token**.
